Discovering the traditional products of the region cheese, bread and honey

Come to us for a week on some of the most typical products of the old tradition of Garfagnana, like cheese, bread and honey, to watch every stage of their processing and discover their most hidden peculiarities.

  • Participation in the production of potato bread with a local baker followed by a tasting of farro beer
  • Removal of honey with a beekeeper and tasting of the different types of honey
  • Participation in the production of pecorino cheese and tasting it with a local producer known for not using chemicals
  • Visit to a family dairy where they produce cheese using the milk from their sheep
  • Visit to an 18th century water mill and meeting with the miller
  • Cookery lessons to learn the various ways Tuscan peasants use stale bread
  • Cookery lessons to learn a fare to make ravioli with ricotta and nettles
