Sandra Rigali and Caterina Salvi were united on Sunday, August 14 at Il Ciocco by the mayor of Barga, Marco Bonini. This marks the first civil union performed in the provice of Lucca.

The new couple, a painter and photographer, have always cultivated a strong bond with the territory in which they have chosen to build their lives. Through their creative work, they capture the essence of the places they reside in, the people they meet and the area's rich traditions.

The ceremony was followed by an aperitif at the Renaissance Tuscany Resort and dinner in a cozy mountain cabin located on the Il Ciocco Mountain at 940 meters above sea level, the Taverna dello Scoiattolo.

Per the artist's wishes, a small gathering with no folklore was held, accompanied by longtime friend and beautiful vocalist, Emma Morton. The couple wanted to name the event "Civilly", highlighting the importance of this personal moment as well as the legal importance of this civil goal.
