Tra le righe di Barga 2016

The ninth edition of the literary festival “Tra le righe di Barga” will take place in Barga’s historic center during the Festa delle Piazzette from July 14 to 18, at 9.15 pm.
Exceptional guest for the night of July 15 is the writer Fabio Genovesi.

The Festival begins on Thursday July 14 with Carlo A. Martigli, author of the noir novel “La scelta di Sigmund” (published by Mondadori), the story of a crime perpetrated in the Vatican at the beginning of the 20th century. The evening – curated by Da Aristo tavern – will feature captivating music by the Aristodemos.
Friday July 15, under the Volta del Menchi vault, the much-awaited meeting with Fabio Genovesi – who will receive the Premio della Lettura award – and his book “Chi manda le onde” (published by Mondadori) set in Versilia, a territory that Genovesi, born in Forte dei Marmi, knows well.
Saturday July 16 will feature Neva Biagiotti with her “Le combinazioni” (Tra le righe), and Massimo Polidoro, who will present the novel “Non guardate nell’abisso. Una nuova indagine per Bruno Jordan” (published by Piemme).
Sunday July 17, meeting with Sicilian author Ignazio Bascone and his “Tommaso l’omu cani. Amara e miserabile ipotesi sulla scomparsa di Ettore Majorana” (published by Libridine), a novel inspired by the disappearance of Ettore Majorana in 1938 in Mazara del Vallo, in the province of Trapani.
The last appointment of the series is scheduled for Monday July 18 with Guida alla Saggezza, an evening dedicated to knowledge & culture, with books, honey, typical products of the area, and in collaboration with Slow Food Garfagnana and Valle del Serchio.
The event is organized by “Tra le righe libri” and Prospektiva, in collaboration with the Municipality of Barga, the ProLoco association and Slow Food.
