The “Green Accommodation Italia” award for Il Ciocco
“Il Ciocco Estate and Park was born in the 1960s with the intent of preserving and safeguarding nature. Il Ciocco is committed to supporting the local small-scale agricultural entrepreneurs by placing the land of the Estate at their disposal so that, by farming it, it is cared for and brought to new life.”
With these motivations, at the Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (International Tourism Exchange) in Milan, Il Ciocco was assigned the “Green Accommodation Italia” award, one of the five categories of the “Green Travel Awards 2018” (“Green Accommodation Italia”, “Green Accommodation Estero”, “Tour Operator”, “Gusto a Km 0” and “Bio Spa”).
“The Estate”, continues the text of the motivation, “offers the chance to stay in the hotel, the chalets or apartments and enjoy the typical local products of its restaurants.”
The recognition is championed by GIST (Gruppo Italiano Stampa Turistica) Italian tourist press group, an association officially acknowledged by the Italian Press Federation whose members are the major national journalists specialized in tourism. And this sixth edition of the event aims to reward the excellences in the realm of sustainable and responsible reception who have distinguished themselves in the slow tourism scenario, winning the appreciation of trade journalists.
Delivering the award to Alessandro Stefani, responsible for communications at Il Ciocco, is the president of the jury, Luca Pollini (in the photo).
“Through an intense territorial marketing activity”, comments Stefani with great satisfaction, “we have strived – especially in the course of the last few years – to place the territory, its excellences, its traditions at the center”.
