CAI – Roasted Chestnut Day

From 2pm to 7pm come and delight in the seasonal fruits our mountains have to offer: roasted chestnuts, chestnut flower fritters, vin brûlé.

Chestnuts by the Lake

Lago di Pontecosi – Pieve Fosciana

It’s the fifth edition of the Chestnut on the lake fest with chestnut flour polenta and salted pork bones, homemade chestnut flour pasta “maccheroni”. Not to miss the necci with ricotta cheese, castagnaccio and bombonecci tastings. From 12pm to 7pm

Chestnut Fest


Saturday and Sunday: from 10am to 6pm: an event dedicated to promoting the chestnut tree and its fruits together with culture, folklore and good food. Saturday: the National competition “Sweets Chestnuts and Chestnut Flour”, promoted by the Chestnut City Association (Associazione Città del Castagno).

Chestnut Fest


11am: stands with typical local products and arts and crafts. Marionette Show with “The Landy and the Unicorn”. Guided visits with the Gamborosso Cultural Association. 12pm: lunch with chestnut based food specialties. Free shuttle service.
