The discreet charm of the impossible

Only five competitors crossed the finish line last year - Graham Jarvis (United Kingdom) on the top step of the podium since 2011 - but in spite of the difficulty of the race a new participation record has been set for this eleventh edition of Hell’s Gate Metzler, a Fabio Fasola event,
scheduled for Saturday, February 15th at Il Ciocco.

The competition, which marks the beginning of a new era of extreme enduro, will take place in two stages. The morning will open with the elimination heat and the top 30 riders classified will compete in the final of Hell’s Gate. The starting grid, like in Moto GP, and then Hell: 4 laps, a special non-stop heat with only checkpoints.  Riders with more than a 30 minute delay from the lead are eliminated from the competition. The riders are allowed to receive help from the public, which is crucial in tackling the final inviolable ascent to Hell's Peak.
