Il Ciocco resort of the year
Preferences expressed by readers, by experts in the realm of food & wine and tourism, and by the editorial office of Food and Travel Magazine Italia have decreed that Il Ciocco Tenuta e Parco is one of the three best resorts in 2018.
The Food and Travel Awards ceremony took place at the Forte Village on the island of Sardinia, in Santa Margherita di Pula, in the presence of Food and Travel editors coming from the world over, sponsors, institutions and trade journalists.
Collecting the plaque was Alessandro Stefani (in the photo), Head of Marketing and Communications - Il Ciocco Tenuta e Parco. On stage, Pamela Raeli, editor of the Italian edition of the magazine, also spoke about the history of Il Ciocco – that in 1968 became the first Italian resort – and about its privileged location within a 600-hectare park in Tuscany.
“Il Ciocco is a long-held dream. Thank you to all those who have supported this contest,” comments Stefani, “and a special thanks to the entire Il Ciocco team, without whom this important recognition would not have been possible.”
The Food and Travel Awards are dedicated to Italian and international excellences that have distinguished themselves for quality and service in the different fields.
In addition to hotel of the year (in the Resort sub-category, together with Il Ciocco Tenuta e Parco, also Forte Village and Vinilia Wine Resort in the region of Puglia received awards), restaurant of the year was proclaimed; professional figures who distinguished themselves in the course of 2018 (maître d', sommelier, enologist, winery, chef, gelato master and pizza chef); destination of the year; products/raw materials and the companies/organizations of excellence.
