Festival Opera Barga
The 51st edition of Festival Opera Barga, the event dedicated to sacred and secular baroque music, contemporary music and chamber music that has progressively established itself as a precious showcase of ideas and talents, is ready to start.
First appointment is on July 27 at 9.30pm at the Duomo in Barga with “In Furore Iustissima Ire” by Antonio Vivaldi.
Maestro Federico Maria Sardelli directs the Ensemble Modo Antiquo.
Twenty concerts are scheduled – ending on August 5 – and they will be held in the Duomo in Barga, the Volta dei Menchi, the Chiostro Santa Elisabetta, the Teatro dei Differenti and the Sala Bel Canto in Barga (sole appointment taking place outside the historic center is the one on August 3, whose venue will be the Pieve di Santa Maria in Loppia).
Pianobarga will also be present with a series of appointments that this year focus on the work of German composer Mendelssohn, in collaboration with Roberto Prosseda, as well as Audiobarga’s comparative listening nights.
The Musica nei Borghi in Bagnone project taking place from July 21 to 24 prepares the stage for the Barga evening events.
