Emma going on her sixth Live
All of the Serchio Valley is rooting for her.
She is Emma Morton, a Scot in love with Italy (she chose to move to Italy, in the charming and dynamic town of Barga, five years ago), and an awesome contestant of X-Factor, the talent show on Sky which airs every Thursday night.
With spine-chilling performances (her unforgettable interpretations: from
the moving Counting Stars and Strange Fruit to the very personal Pop Porno…), a voice capable of highlighting the subtlety of both Italian and foreign song lyrics and a determination close to none, Emma is one of the three favourites of the show.
On November 20th Emma sang Un’Estate Fa, the Italian version of
Michael Fugain’s Une Belle Histoire. It was judged as not being the most suitable song for her (“But her ability as a singer saved her”, remarked record label executive, Mara Maionchi, at the end of the show,
commenting on Mika’s poor choice in the selection of a song for Emma). For us it was just yet another demonstration of Emma’s talent.
Great job Emma! Till the next live (November 27, 9:10 pm).
“I love to have people over, for dinner, to talk, to dance, to sing…I love to share moments”.
She detests discrimination, she likes to wear clothes that have a past, with a story to be continued and even to be changed (“sometimes I buy things because they look like they need love”). Emma would like to be recognized as an authentic artist.
“A memorable concert? In 2006 I saw Patty Smith in Glasgow; it was the first concert that touched me profoundly, and humanly; it artistically had a huge influenced on me. It inspired me to always remember the simple, human and poetic things in life and that everything else is superfluous”.
