Emma Morton at the 2016 Il Ciocco Press Tour
Between nature walks and guided tastings, good music, cooking classes and 4x4 off-road tours, this year’s Il Ciocco Press Tour concluded on Sunday, May 15 which involved journalists from Ansa, Bell’Italia, Caravan
& Camper Granturismo, In Viaggio, Io Donna of Corriere della Sera,
The goal of the tour was to incorporate as much of the Serchio Valley and the Garfagnana inside our Living Mountain as possible, sharing the amazing stories of our territory and bringing the best that this land has to offer.
It has been an intense three days made up of authentic smiles, culinary traditions, breathtaking scenery and with a lot to talk about.
Saturday night’s dinner at the Alla Posta restaurant in the Il Ciocco Estate was an unforgettable one. Emma Morton, singer of Scottish origin but Barghigian by adoption (we like to remember her participation on X-Factor 8), put on an extraordinary performance. Accompanied by her companion
in life and in art, Luca Giovacchini, Emma greeted us with the moving Ae fond kiss that the Scottish poet, Robert Burns, wrote back in 1791.
…Meanwhile, we are all anxious to see her perform on Saturday, May 21,
at the Barga Jazz Club.
