A Tribute to Lucio Battisti at the Il Ciocco
Fundraising for the Muhura Mission - After 50 years since the
publication of his first single (“Per una Lira”), the Il Ciocco will celebrate the legendary Lucio Battisti with an exclusive event for the New Year’s Day Concert held on Friday, January 1, 2016 (for information: vivaticket.it
and the Il Ciocco InfoPoint). Beginning at 5:30 p.m., a national premiere of “Semplice Lucio” will take center stage at the Auditorium Theatre. A tribute to this great artist, and above all, a musical journey of his most beautiful songs (from I Giardini di Marzo to Non è Francesca, from Dieci Ragazze to Emozioni).
Maestro Anellino’s guitar and The New Tuscany orchestra directed by Maestro Mario Zannini Quirini will revisit the most beloved songs of one
of the innovators of Italian music (Giandomenico Anellino is also artistic director of the concert). Many are the surprises in the cast line-up starting with actor Alessandro Bertolucci in the role and voice of the narrator and singer Roberto Pambianchi, who was particularly close to Lucio Battisti.
The event, in its 16th edition, is organized by the Misericordia of Barga with the contribution of Kedrion Biopharmaceutical S.p.A. and Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa.
As it occurs every year, the donations collected during the evening will be offered to the Muhura Mission in Rwanda run by retired medical doctor Lido Stefani, who has dedicated his professionalism to the African community for over 15 years.
