WHAT IS NORDIC WALKING
It’s the perfect exercise to obtain a simple reduction in weight without stressing the joints. It actively involves the arms in the movement. This implies an increase in the muscles of the shoulders and chest (pectorals) and strengthening of the cervical (neck) muscles. The load on the hip joints, knees and feet is reduced in Nordic Walking.
Running fans choose Nordic Walking definitively or on a temporary basis,
for example when they have problems with the knee or hips or when they have to fully recover from a trauma.
Overall, it can be said that Nordic Walking is 40% more effective with respect to traditional walking.
WHO CAN DO IT
Everyone can do Nordic Walking. It’s suitable for all and any age, from children to the elderly. The physical activity and intensity of the training
are adapted to the physical conditions of each one.
You can do it on paths, roads and spaces where you can go into the countryside. There are various routes available on the Ciocco estate.
Nordic Walking excursions are available all year, on booking.
A guide teaches the technique of Nordic Walking which, in effect, is
bio-mechanically correct where the thrust is added with specific sticks
with a technique similar to that of cross-country skiing.
