Il Ciocco is truly a strategic place to get on a bike, pedal until you’re out of breath and let go in the steep downhills, in the middle of pastures and forests. The Ciocco Estate organises trips on mountain bikes for all, from the gentle cycle along the valley to high altitude off-road routes, on the crest of the Apennines and, for the more expert, the impervious Apuan Alps, full of breathtaking panoramic points.
In 1991, for the first time in Europe, the Mountain Bike World Championships were held, won by the American John Tomac and the Italian Maria Canins.
The routes are inside and outside the Estate.
You can go on the various routes on your own or with a guide. For those registering with reception, you can have the routes to download to your GPS. Mountain Bikes can be rented in the structure.
All year round, after just booking the guide.
The routes are for beginners, amateurs and experts and whoever wants
to spend time in the countryside riding a Mountain Bike. The most appropriate itinerary will be recommended on the basis of the preparation of participants. Retreats with ad hoc routes, events and bike tests can be organised for professional and amateur teams.
